At Cathedral Dyslexia Services, we believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to understand how they learn best and to develop the confidence to achieve their full potential.
Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that primarily affects reading, spelling, writing, and information processing. However, dyslexia does not reflect intelligence or ability. Many individuals with dyslexia demonstrate exceptional strengths in creativity, problem-solving, imagination, and critical thinking. When dyslexia is unidentified or unsupported, it can lead to frustration, reduced confidence, and difficulties in education and everyday life.
Professional dyslexia screening and assessment can provide valuable insight into an individual's learning profile. Screening can help identify whether dyslexia may be present and indicate whether further assessment is recommended. A full diagnostic assessment offers a detailed understanding of a person's strengths and areas of difficulty, providing practical recommendations to support learning, attainment, and wellbeing.

The services offered by Cathedral Dyslexia Services are provided by a highly qualified specialist teacher/assessor with wide experience of working with dyslexic young people in both primary and secondary settings and of assessing students for Disabled Students’ Allowance.

About us
I am a qualified teacher, Specialist Teacher and Dyslexia Assessor with over 25 years experience working in SEND in both primary and secondary settings.
I hold an Assessment Practising Certificate and am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association. I also have an Enhanced DBS.
